Will Corrigan Assistant Coach, Harvard University

Will Corrigan arrives at Harvard following two season on the staff of Washington and Lee University.

Last season, Corrigan helped the Generals tie the school record for victories, going 16-5 overall.  W&L won the ODAC regular season and tournament championships, and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.  The Blue & White featured a potent offense that scored a school-record 329 goals, while limited the opponents to just 6.48 goals per game, good for third in Division III.

In his first season with the program, Corrigan helped W&L achieve a 15-5 overall record while claiming the ODAC regular season title with a perfect 9-0 league mark.  The 2018 season featured a high-scoring offense that averaged 13.95 goals per game and set a then school record for goals scored in a season (279). W&L advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Dickinson in overtime by a score of 10-9.  He is part of a staff that was recognized as the IMLCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year.

Corrigan came to W&L from the Woodinville Lacrosse Club in Washington state, where he served as the varsity head coach for two years.  Corrigan helped lead the Falcons to the program’s first Division I state playoff appearance in his first season and followed that with a state semifinal appearance in 2017.

Corrigan’s experiences also include coaching the CitySideLax travel teams, where he had coordinated recruiting and curriculum since 2015.

A 2015 graduate of Notre Dame with a bachelor of arts & letters in psychology, Corrigan has strong ties to the game of lacrosse and Washington and Lee.  His father Kevin has served as the head coach of the Fighting Irish for more than 30 years, while his grandfather, Gene, was head coach of both the soccer (1955-57) and lacrosse (1956-58) programs at W&L, and was the school’s director of athletics from 1969-71.

Will Corrigan was a four-year letterwinner on the Fighting Irish lacrosse team, helping them to four NCAA Championship berths and a runner-up finish as a junior in 2014.  An Academic All-ACC selection, he played in 65 career games as a midfielder, totaling 39 points on 20 goals and 19 assists.
